Teeth and time

We often talk about a youthful smile but what's the difference between a young person's smile and an older person?

The wear and tear of our teeth is the most prominent change as we all get older. The edges of our front teeth get worn down and become sharp looking. Some people's teeth become much shorter in height than what they originally were.

This all makes our teeth look "aged".

Add in a bit of stress over a few decades: mortgage, family and work all leading to grinding. This can lead to significant wear on our teeth and chipped edges.

The good news is, all that beautiful young enamel that gets damaged can be easily repaired or the lost height added back with bonding techniques or porcelain coverage. At the very least, you can prevent further damage by wearing a night guard.
